Wiktoria Lesniak

She is a specialist in internal medicine with PhD in cardiology, a member of Cochrane Poland and Krakow GRADE Centre and a chair of Critical Appraisal of Guidelines in Internal Medicine EFIM Working Group. She has participated in Task Forces preparing guidelines on diseases which are in scope of internal medicine. Her research activities are concentrated on the assessment of the cardiovascular risk, guideline adaptations, implementation of guidelines into clinical practice, the methodological aspects of clinical trials, and systematic reviews on the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions. As a Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the “Medycyna Praktyczna” journal – the biggest journal for internists in Poland – she is responsible for popularizing EBM and practice guidelines among Polish physicians and patients.
