Miriam Songa Stegemann

Dr. Miriam Stegemann is an experienced internal medicine and infectious diseases specialist and works as a senior physician and the head of the Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) program at Charité university hospital, Berlin, Germany. She is experienced in collaborative projects aimed at improving management of infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance and strengthening AMS programs globally, including longstanding international collaborations of Charité and instutions in low and middle income countries. Her research focuses on bringing evidence closer to clinical and laboratory practices and conditions on the ground, at institutional, national and international level. She serves as an elected member of the supervisory committee to the board of the German Society of Internal Medicine since 2023.
