Katarzyna Zielińska

Dr. Katarzyna Zielińska, MD, PhD, is a specialist in internal medicine based in Kraków, Poland. She obtained her medical degree from the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice and completed her PhD on diabetes after heart transplantation. She has clinical experience from various hospitals, including Św. Jan Grande Hospital in Kraków, where she completed her specialization. Dr. Zielińska has also trained internationally, including a residency at Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS in Rome and a student internship in the Department of Oncological Gynecology at the Moscow Clinical Research Center. She actively participates in European medical education programs, representing Poland at ESIM Winter and Summer Schools. She has presented her research at major international conferences. Her scientific work focuses on diabetes, metabolic disorders, and transplant medicine, with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals. She is currently working as a specialist in internal medicine at the Primary Healthcare Clinic Scanmed in Kraków. Dr. Zielińska is an active member of several scientific societies, including the Polish Society of Internal Medicine, the Polish Society for the Treatment of Obesity, and the Polish Diabetes Association. Beyond medicine, she is passionate about choral singing. She is the President of the Choir of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, a member of the World Doctors Orchestra Choir, and EMSOC (European Medical Students’ and Young Doctors’ Choir & Orchestra).
