Andrea Zanichelli

Andrea Zanichelli is head of the Medicine Department and of the Angioedema Center at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato. He is Researcher at University of Milan. He is specialised in internal medicine and completed his PhD at the University of Milan. His main research interest is angioedema due to C1-INH deficiency. He is an author of 120 publications on the various aspects of angioedema and has conducted 21 clinical trials as Co-investigator/Principal Investigator for the development of new therapies for Hereditary Angioedema. He contributed to the formation of the Italian network for C1-INH-HAE (ITACA) and conducted a nationwide survey of Hereditary Angioedema in Italy. He is a member of international expert groups for development of clinical guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of angioedema.
