Dr. Farouk Benmediouni is the Head of Internal Medicine at Hôpital Mixte de Laghouat, Algeria. He is deeply involved in medical education, research, and clinical practice, with a strong focus on rare diseases, artificial intelligence in medicine, and point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS).
He actively contributes to continuing medical education, organizing events like the AMLA FMC Conferences, and developing hospital protocols, particularly in infectious diseases and antibiotic stewardship. Passionate about mentoring, he trains residents and medical students, helping shape the next generation of physicians.
Currently pursuing a PhD, his research explores the use of infrared thermography in systemic sclerosis (ESTHER project). With a commitment to medical innovation and collaboration, he plays a key role in advancing research and healthcare both nationally and internationally.
