Carmen Fierbinteanu-Braticevici

Prof Carmen Fierbinteanu-Braticevici received her medical degree from the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine, Bucharest, Romania, before pursuing a specialization in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She joined its faculty in 1988 as a Clinical Instructor and was later promoted to Assistant Professor, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Professor in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine at “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy. She also serves as a Division Chief in the Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Department at the University Hospital Bucharest. Prof Fierbinteanu holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, diagnostic and interventional Abdominal Ultrasonography. She has served as the Vice-President of The Romanian Society of Internal Medicine and as a member of the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) and the American Gastroenterological Association Fellow (AGAF) consistently demonstrating a commitment to the advancement of medical science and education. Her research in the areas of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology has resulted in continued publications throughout her academic career in a number of prestigious journals. Prof. Fierbinteanu authored and coauthored more than 80 indexed papers and she is a speaker and chairman in national and international meetings.
